The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare’s Research Office has announced the 2021-22 cohort of MSW Research Scholars. The Master of Social Work students work closely with an academic researcher on their work for 22 weeks (11 weeks each semester) for an average of eight hours per week.KU's MSW is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The KU MSW has consistently ranked in the top 12% of graduate social work programs at public institutions, according to U.S. News & World Report. It is the top-ranked and longest-running MSW program in Kansas. The JD/MSW joint degree program at the University of Kansas combines the three-year Juris Doctor (J.D.) program offered by the KU School of Law and the two-year Master of Social Work (MSW) program offered by the School of Social Welfare into a course of study designed to offer students a thorough academic grounding in both substantive areas.
