According to Glock the 30S was designed for the LAPD's SIS and my understanding is they use 230 grain +P HST's in all their 45s. It would make sense to me to run the same ammo. Plus I like Federal HST ammo it is proven in testing and on the street. If you carry IWB, the 30 is doable, but not as comfortable as the 27. The 30s would be a little more comfortable to carry, but not as comfortable to shoot. There is no really clear answer when it comes to carry pistols. Everything has trade-offs.
