ACME Bullet Company is a manufacturer of Lubed Cast Bullets & Hi-Tek Coated bullets. ACME's premium reloading cast bullets are made with certified 92-6-2 lead for a Brinell Hardness (BHN) of 16. Shipped in a unique wood box that protects the bullets during shipping.So recently I decided it was time to switch to coated bullets from plated. From some advice here I tried out ACME bullets in .45acp 230gr and 9mm 145gr. my loads in .45 were nearly identical to the plated so no issue there. The 9mm is a different story. They shot and felt great, but were noticeably smokier than my normal plated reloads.Every box of our bullets displays the Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) of the bullets. We work with certified analysis foundry alloy in two hardnesses in order to provide you with the bullet hardness that works best for you. One is 2% tin, 6% antimony, balance lead for harder bullets at 18 BHN and the other is 2% tin, 4% antimony, balance lead.
