I recently tested this myself, against ng4 ludwig phase 1, fire paper adds 20 damage per hit. Idk if ng cycle affects defenses, I think it just affects max hp. ReplyEvelyn and the Hunter Pistol feel almost identical. I think next time they should really add magic to your left handed weapons if Bloodborne gets a sequel. Perhaps they could have also added different types of ammunition too like fire-based bullets and explosive bullets or allowed firearms to be used in your right hand too. But don't worry, BSB does not necessarily requires firepapaer or any other buffs.
