The label said clones but in reality they would be copies of the design. I understand that many parts are interchangeable but it stands to reason that the parts would not be of the same quality. Benelli has the M2, M4, and Nova designs. From what I can tell, the CD 601 DPS is in-between the Generation 1 and 2 designs from Sulun, though much closer to the Gen 2. The Gen 2 is 100% M4 clone down to the recoil tube and stock. The Gen 1 is an almost clone, different recoil tube, mostly parts compatible, but the bolt release is positioned too far back on the receiver.Nov 20, 2020 ...
