Pharmacology and Toxicology is one of the most lab-oriented majors. Students learn: The origin, nature, chemistry and uses of drugs. The effects of drugs on the body. How the body metabolizes drugs. The origin, nature and chemistry of toxicants. UToledo Pharmaceutical Sciences undergrads take classes on Main Campus during their first two years.Applicants are admitted under the General Regulations of the School of Graduate Studies. Applicants must also satisfy the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology’s additional admission requirements stated below. An appropriate bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a final-year average of at least a B+.
