The PPSh seems like a fantastic build to do but the cost of it is way too high. New barrel, New bolt and trigger grouping, rewelding the shrouds together, making it completely ATF complaint. According to Gallo molot produced from 43-45 and their manufacturing included the whole and winged lower receiver and all models after this followed their pattern with the hole in trunnion and wings.They aren't cheap, and require a shop full of tools and knowledge to convert and build these into legal, functional firearms. I don't know how they build a PPSH-41 that passes muster, because it's an open bolt design, and the KGBATF doesn't like open bolt guns. First, the cyclic rate is noticeably slower. Where the stock PPSh is known for a fairly high rate of fire at around 900 rpm, the 9mm converted gun seemed to be in the 700-750 range. It was also considerably easier to hold the gun still and keep the sights on target while firing long bursts.
