After that transmission has no problems to shift to 4th and 5th.Using a screwdriver, pry shift cable from manual control lever on transmission range sensor. To unlock adjuster body, release lock tab on top side of cable by pushing down on 2 tangs. Move shift cable back and forth the full adjustment length a few times to remove any dirt. Turned out the VB Gasket was blown along the strip of solenoids as well as on the small outside strip around the low/reverse servo (not the individual servo gasket, tho).So how hard is it to do a VB swap on a 5r55e. I've never messed with a tranny and am a shade tree mechanic at best. Shops are quoting me 250+ fluid I am pretty sure my VB gasket is going, it's having a hard time shifting and I figured what the heck might as well get one with one of the shift kits pre installed.
