It contains the latch mechanism and the connecting wire that hooks the door latch to the electrical system of the washer.Unplug the power to the washer. Locate the lid switch (consult your manual if necessary). Check that it is aligned correctly and isn’t loose. If necessary, realign it and then test if the problem has been solved. If it’s aligned correctly, you need to remove the switch from the washer so you can test it for continuity.Position the replacement lid lock at the front of the cabinet top. Secure it with the screws you removed from the original lid lock. Snap the lid lock wires beneath the metal retaining clips. Push the plastic retainer into the small hole near the back of the washer top. Feed the lid lock wire connector through the hole in the top of the washer.
