It is an excellent weapon, especially when paired with Flynn's ring. The two handed R1s have crazy tracking and they are trusting attacks, the sword does 25 poise damage, the one handed whip is amazing when people think they can outrange you and this attack combos into the extendo-poke, and the two handed whipping attack covers 360 degrees and also combos.In my right hand, I'm running a Monastery Scimitar, Puzzling Stone Sword, and a Hunter's Blackbow for pesky runners that I can't catch with throwing knives. In my left, I have another MonScim, a Target Shield, and a Pyromancy Flame in case a host gives me a chance to heal up with Warmth.The move set is what i find lacking, specifically the 1H R1. With a 40/40 quality build, it does about 320 damage (80 less than the Sun Sword and Drakekeepers with 40/40) but the moveset does make up for it. It has the amazing stunlocking capabilities of a Rapier in 2 hands and the 1H R2 is great for people not suspecting it and the 2H R2 is ... Its got a cool animation but I cant decide whether its actually a good weapon for a str/dex build or not. By the time you get it most of it's usefulness has worn off, kinda like most of the DLC weapons. BUT! Two handed R1 is a solid poise breaker, and running with a Flynn's build it can be solid fun for most of NG+.

The scaling after an infusion is bad. So you have a weapon with bad base damage and bad scaling, well guess what, and bad damage. To give you an idea, uninfused with Bandit's starting 9 Str and 40 Dex it has 279 AR. With the starting 9 Str and 14 Dex and 30 Int & Fth and Dark-infusion it has 114+161 (=275) AR.Low stat requirement. A good substitute for the Puzzling Stone Sword, and an excellent backup weapon. Low weight. Brandish it like a twig. Cons: Crummy damage; RoB/Flynn's are a necessity. Scales poorly- at base requirements, you may get around 50 damage. Poor range- thus requires an aggressive playstyle to make it work well.
