At the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation, our mission is to support the well being of homeless animals in our community.We are the Decatur and Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation. The Foundation is separate from Macon County Animal Control. The shelter is is run by Macon County and therefore the Foundation has no authority in regard to shelter policies, programs, nor volunteers.Fill out an application early so when the right pet comes along, you will already be pre-approved! In order to adopt an animal from the Macon County Animal Control and Care Center, the applicant must be over the age of 18 and approved based off of the completed application.
