Having religiously changed transmission fluid every 30k miles on the 5R55 on our 2004 Explorer, I believe it has a lot to do with the 210k (problem-free) miles that we have gotten out of that transmission. I looked at having Roush build me a supercharged F-150. The extra cost was around $27,000. The aftermarket manager at the dealership I bought my truck from talked me out of it.
