The landfill used by Chattooga County to dump waste has been fined for violations that date back to September of 2020. The Sand Valley Landfill is located in Collinsville, Alabama and is operated by Republic Services. The landfill comprises 233 acres of land and accepts around 1,600 tons of waste per day.
