There are many ways to obtain inexpensive Exotic gear. But, gear won't help that much if you haven't learned the game.So, you can buy the expansions and use the free booster to boost straight to level 80 and start playing without knowing wtf you are doing, or, you can take it easy, do the f2p maps and events, learn a character class while you level up to 80.
