The 940 has a little bit of difference with the gas system, but Mossberg started using Or3gun parts on the 940 from the get go. I still can't get the AA low recoil, low noise rounds to cycle reliably, but it eats everything else with no issues. My kids love shooting it, and will burn 100 rounds at a time.It works well and is reasonably priced. The A400 is prettier and has a few more bells and whistles. It is also about twice the price. For a beginner gun it is hard to beat the A300. The wood model has better weight but is not length adjustable like the plastic-stocked model.…
