It will start for the whole day but if it sits it won’t start again unless I spray starting fluid. In many new cars if you have a key that's not electronically married to the car and attempt to start it, the engine will fire and run for only a few seconds and then die.Sometimes diagnosing these things is a process of elimination. This confuses me because it has sat for longer and run just fine. I adjusted the idle screw, took the bowl, jet, and air filter off and hit it with some carb cleaner, and put a little more fresh gas in it all to no avail. It will idle just fine on choke - it will even rev - but as soon as I take it off choke it dies.The other issue is possible, but if it runs for 20-30 minutes, it's less likely. Basically, the fuel system needs to be vented so the fuel drains into the carburetor. If the vent on the tank is clogged it'll build a vacuum in the tank and prevent fuel from getting to the carburetor. If it'll run fine with the tank cap off, that's your issue ...
