I went with a 650 edelbrock, with an air gap intake. You can check for a vacuum leak by getting a can of carb cleaner and spraying down the intake area and listen for an rpm change.

Start by obtaining the wiring diagram for your ECM number--7747--search the net using the complete ECM number--and check each wire in your harness to insure it goes where it's supposed to. Use an ohm meter to insure continuity between each ECM plug contact and each sensor/device plug contact.

CANT run 2 injectors in parallel, the circuits in the ECM are setup to run 1 injectors current requirements only. Try an ECM out of a 2.8l and the TBI to go with it, you are only .3l difference from that engine anyway.you need to either get a lower pressure in tank pump, a regulator to knock the pressure down to 6 psi, or get rid of the in tank pump and run a mechanical pump. then you need to get an older HEI distributor. this will render the computer irrelevant, so all that wiring can then be taken out- which really opens up the engine bay.
