I currently carry a 1st generation LCP but would like something chambered for 9mm since the ammo is a bit cheaper and my full size is an SR9. It would just keep things easy when buying ammo and taking it to the range. Although, if you wish to have that extra stopping power, Ruger SR9C is also chambered for .40 S&W caliber. With a 6×0.90×4.5 inches dimension compared to the 6.85×1.27×4.61 inches dimension of SR9C, Ruger LC9 is noticeably smaller. LC9 is 6.3 oz lighter as well.
