My ski seems to run good but it seems to be missing a few RPM at the top. It will only hit about 6400 RPM. Stock is 55-56 mph so with the Solas impeller it is just like taller gearing on a car, your top speed has increased to 58 mph but there is more of a load on the engine because of the higher gearing so your rpm is less at 6640. If you go to a stock impeller you will get more top rpm but less mph.Unplug the four large plugs into the MPEM, then after removing the two nuts holding the MPEM (mind the washers) you can pivot it off the studs so it will come off the bottom tab. After the MPEM is out, you can access the four bolts holding the bracket down. Jul 28, 2014. #1. i have a 2002 gtx di and up until yesterday it ran fine. when u start the unit it beeps and displays "maintenance" then it goes into limp mode and will not rev more than about 4750 rmp. i had charging issues last year and replaced the rectifier last fall and the unit has worked awesome since. after doing some research on these ...No maintenance lights came on. Things done to the ski so far. Compression test 130-5 same both cylinders. New plugs. New gas. New fuel pump. New regulator/ rectifier. cleaned rave valves. Inspected water pressure valve looked brand new. still same problem of rpm topping out at 4850-5000. Does anyone one have any advice? thank you for your help!…
