You can get to the Broc Flower Cave pretty early in the game. The unique Varmint Rifle "The Ratslayer" is in there. It doesn't pack the punch of the sniper rifle but it has all the mods on it: Night Scope, Silencer, Extended mags. I was using this weapon almost throughout my first playthrough.
