Brittany Riley (2005-08) was a two-time NCAA Champion in the weight throw (2007, 2008) and six-time All-American between the weight throw and hammer. She is the current world record holder in the weight throw (83-10.50), which was set as a Saluki on Mar. 10, 2007.The Herrin-native holds many records at the University of Evansville as a pitcher. Her Saluki career began when she was given the opportunity by Brechtelsbauer to be an assistant coach for Southern Illinois in 1991. Brechtelsbauer would retire with 633 wins in 32 seasons as the winningest coach in SIU women's athletics.
