There was a collapse in the hose and a hole. I replaced the hose and reset the codes and once i cranked up the engine for the second time the lights came on again. It looks likes when the vehicle is running there is not a misfire but on start up it misfires sometimes. The engine light and vtm-4 light comes on.Caused a check engine code 3 & 5 cylinder misfires. VTM-4 light was on for a day or so, check engine light was on for 3 days or so. All's good now!:29: Apparently the misfires will cause the VTM-4 light and as soon as the engine starts to correct itself the VTM-4 light went out and eventually check engine light too.Moving the shift lever over to 1 caused the D1 light on the dash to come on - but no VTM-4 lock. Looking at the schematic, the transmission position switch (located on the transmission) contact is shared for 1 and 2. There is a separate switch for D1 located next to the shift lever that is activated by moving the shift lever to the 1 position.
