It was important to confront and eliminate these prophets of Baal before God sent rain to the land of Israel. The events of this chapter are also recorded in 2 Kings 18:13-27 and 2 Chronicles 32:1-19. i. This begins a four-chapter section different than the prophecies recorded before or after.
