I would say if you want to carry +p loads the 30 or 30sf, If not maybe the 30s would be a good choice. For me it's the 30sf. It is such a smooth good shooting gun I'll take the extra 3ozs and 1/10" extra width of the 30sf. I was surprised when I put the XD next to the 36 and the 36 was just a touch thinner. Back to the 30 and XD, I personally like the XD a lot. For 9mm, Glock wins over XD, and in 45 XD wins over Glock.
